More than 600,000 NYC residents with green cards haven’t taken the step of becoming Americans because of the cost of legal assistance. I collaborated with with a group of passionate advocacy lawyers and the NYC Mayor’s office to develop a LinkNYC campaign that helped to address this problem. The solution was to provide free access to immigration lawyers across dozens of public libraries. This campaign helped spread the word on the city’s new initiative. It ran for over 2 months on all the Link NYC kiosks and was translated to over 20 different languages.
